Ahhhh newborn photos! Is there anything more lovely than a tiny little squishy new baby? (It doesn’t matter how big a baby is, they are tiny and little and squishy!) How lucky am I to get to capture babies when they are brand new!
I was fortunate to catch up with Caitlin and Kishore just a couple of days after their beautiful baby boy Kailesh made his entrance into the world (luckily this was prior to any lockdown or social gathering restrictions being put in place) to get some photos of their beautiful son.
This is the fourth time I have photographed Caitlin and Kishore (dating, engaged, wedding and maternity) but the first time I have photographed their new little family of 3!

Caitlin and Kishore are completely besotted new parents, it is an absolute joy to be around and to witness the delight they share in over their tiny new son!
Posed newborn photos
How cute are these photos? Caitlin and Kishore wanted Yoda photos for Kishore’s love of Star Wars, they also got a Lion costume that they thought Kishore’s dad would love and a flat cap and bow tie that they thought Caitlin’s dad would love.
Newborn photos can take quite a long time (because we want babies to be chilled out and relaxed so there is no rushing) and a short time into the session Kailesh decided his little tummy was starting to get hungry. This happened to coincide with when we had him in the lion costume and he was even more adorable (if that is even possible). You know when babies are starting to get hungry but aren’t upset, they are just sort of squirming around. He kept lifting himself up and pulling faces that made him look like a lion roaring. So darn cute!
While newborn photos CAN take a long time, these actually didn’t. Kailesh was one of the most chilled out newborns I’ve met and definitely one of the most chilled out I’ve photographed. I have everything crossed for his mum and dad he keeps that up :p
What love looks like
Dear baby Kailesh, this is what love looks like! Your Mummy and Daddy loved you more than you will ever know before you were even born and now you are here they love you even more. Your amazing Grandparents, Aunties, Uncle, and cousins can’t wait to watch you grow and will be there for you through it all. What a wonderful family you chose! Welcome to the world.
